Fairbank Wedding Barn is centred around the striking traditional stone barn, with exposed wooden beams and lime rendered white walls – a blank canvas for you to style and decorate as much, or as little, as you wish! Adjoining the barn is our charming bar area, with access down a staircase to the Lower Courtyard and adjacent traditional barn, The Shippon. Both the main barn and The Shippon are licenced areas to host your ceremony, giving you the flexibility to surprise your guests with the majesty of the barn for your wedding breakfast, after your ceremony under the quaint eaves of The Shippon.

Fairbank Wedding Barn has outdoor space in abundance, surrounded by open fields and the lawned gardens of the onsite accommodation, all of which is included in our wedding package. Around every corner, you will find endless photo opportunities and quiet places to steal a kiss and enjoy a moment of peace on your big day! The lawn or surrounding land are also ideal for guests to camp (or glamp!) by prior arrangement.

The nature of the venue means you are free to provide extra decoration to put your own stamp on it. You could add extra lights, fairy lights, floral decoration, drapes or foliage hangings to name just a few… or leave the barn minimal to let the traditional rustic charm wow your guests.

At Fairbank Wedding Barn there are no restrictions on which suppliers you can use, so as a couple you can make the day your own! From ice cream vans to pizza trucks, magicians to bands and singers; the Lake District is home to some amazing suppliers in the wedding industry; so you can find the perfect team to make your day extra special. We are more than happy to make recommendations from personal experiences so please get in touch if you need a point in the right direction.
